Vinyl

Vinyl is the least expensive and most popular type of siding in the U.S. There are several different quality grades in vinyl and it’s important to know what type is being installed on your home. Thickness is one determining factor when deciding quality. Vinyl ranges from .040 mm to .055 mm thick.

The color of vinyl siding may also determine the price. Generally the darker or richer the color, the more expensive it is.

Another trend that is happening is vinyl siding is being paired with different style trims to provide a more upscale appearance while not breaking the budget.

Vinyl siding Benefits

  • Least expensive option
  • Easiest to install
  • Virtually maintenance free
  • Many designs and colors to choose from
  • Versatile

Steel Siding Arrow Exterior Design Madison Wisconsin Commercial Residential Contractor

Steel Siding

Steel siding is a popular option for people who want to upgrade from vinyl. There are several manufactures and different options to choose from. It can be more impact resistant than most vinyl, but still may dent with large enough hail. Some of the paints can become chalky, and fade over time, so it is best to choose a quality brand and ask your Arrow Exterior Design Consultant what the options are.

Faux Stone Panels

These are panels that are designed to look like real stone but are installed like siding. They are much less expensive than real stone or brick as there is no need for a mason and they go on much more quickly.
